WADEI H. POWELL is the CEO and Principal Consultant at UFOUND Solutions Group and a seasoned business executive with a highly successful track record and more than 25 years progressive experience in all phases of Organizational Development both in the private and public sectors. She has a strong background in SWOT analysis, IS and HR systems development and implementation, project management, business analysis, business process re-engineering, strategic planning, contract negotiation, private sector development, and Liberian Labor Laws and practices and has excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
She has worked as a Consultant on several USAID developmental projects and served as Vice President for Administration & HR at Cellcom Telecommunications, Inc. (May 2012 – May 2015), General Services Manager of Firestone Liberia, Inc. (Mar 2009 to May 2012) and Inventory Control Manager (Jun 2006 – Mar 2009), Manager of Information Systems at the Central Bank of Liberia (Dec 2005 – May 2006). Prior to moving back home to Liberia in 2005, she worked with several Industry Associations and Fortune 500 Companies in the United States, including Security Industry Association, Consumer Electronics Association, and Mellon Financial. She also served as Second Vice President of the Liberia Chamber of Commerce (LCC), held memberships in the Liberia Corporate Responsibility Forum, and served the Board of the National Port Authority of Liberia.
Her varied experience includes private sector development, financial, operational, organizational and functional business process development and management, government relations, concession agreement compliance, inventory control, management information systems, and corporate legal affairs.
Powell earned a Diploma 1989 from the St. Teresa’s Convent School in Monrovia, Liberia and also holds a B.A. degree in English from the University of Maryland, College Park (1996) and a M.Sc. degree in Information & Telecommunications Systems Management, with an emphasis in Organizational Development, from Capitol College in Laurel, MD (2003).
